This collection marked my initial attempt to step out of my comfort zone, exploring colours and joy. I reside outside the town in a private house, and during renovations on my third floor, I saw potential in the space. While shopping for fabric, I encountered some furry ones, initially hesitating to purchase them. However, I decided to take the risk and bought them, leaving the rest to my imagination. Balenciaga served as a significant inspiration for these garments. Demna’s ability to consistently amaze with his creativity has always been beyond this world. I learned that sometimes taking risks and embracing the unknown outcome is harmless.

 

With editing, mood, and the final results, this photoshoot has become my favourite. When planning my latest project I searched references on Pinterest, noticing many studio photo-shoots. I questioned whether I was repeating something others had already done. Reflecting on collections created by the most creative minds, I asked myself how I could become a trendsetter instead of creating something similar to what already exists. Eventually, I realised that, as a designer, staying in rhythm is essential. I’ve had instances where my sketches materialised in other big fashion houses, causing heartbreak. While it’s challenging to bring sketches to life without a substantial budget, I concluded, that, if I am being at the bottom of the ocean and aspiring to fly, I need to at least float like others.

 

Staying in rhythm involves doing photoshoots in studios and yes, even similar to other brands. Inspiration is always born in the working process and this strategic alignment positions me to grow and potentially become a trendsetter by introducing something novel.

While floating I might become a trendsetter too and do something that nobody else did. Simultaneously, I recognise the importance of expanding my audience. Customers and those who appreciate our work play a pivotal role in our success.
